이 논문은 영미권 문화역사지리학 경관연구의 핵심적인 두 가지 개념, 경관의 재현성과 비재현성의 의미론적 조우에 대한 탐색을 위한 논문이다. 이를 위하여, 제주도 안거리-밖거리 전통주거의 공간적 구성과 제주해녀들의 몸적 정서(體的 情緖, bodily affect)로서의 자유주의적 공동체주의가 각각 재현으로서의 경관개념과 비재현으로서의 경관개념에 상응됨을 논증해낸다. 더 나아가, 두 개의 경관개념들이 서로 연결되어 있음을 보여줌으로써, 분절되어 존재하는 것처럼 보이는 두 개념의 비분절성(非分節性, suprasegmental feature)을 밝혀내고자 한다.
The main purpose of this paper is to explore the semantic encounter between representationess and non-representationess of landscape in cultural and historical geography. By giving empirical buoyancy to the reciprocal relationship between the spatial form of Ahn’gŏ’ri-Bak’gŏ’ri folk housing and liberal communitarianism as the bodily affect of Jeju haenyeo(women divers), this paper demonstrate that representationess and non-representationess of landscape are inter-locked in cultural landscape of Ahn’gŏ’ri-Bak’gŏ’ri folk housing. Through this, finally, the suprasegmental feature of the concept of landscape is emerged.
